Job Description :
Performs dismantling, inspection, and assembly of engines, modules, components, and assemblies in accordance with all applicable technical, customer, regulatory, and company requirements. • Uses a variety of hand tools (such as drills, reamers, cherry max gun, bucking bars, rivet squeeze guns, rivet hammers), grinders, jigs, fixtures, gauges, precision measuring instruments, special tools, and consumables necessary to carry out the required tasks. • Utilizes basic sheet metal equipment and machinery such as power/manual shear, box and pan brake, shrinker, stretcher, roller and fixtures to perform repairs to damaged sheet metal parts. • Performs sheet metal operations such as drilling, countersinking, riveting, blending, dimpling, deburring, and coldworking various types of metals. • Performs and interprets measurements of components and parts using precision measuring equipment and special tools, and calculates results as required. • Performs visual and dimensional inspections of products being processed for repair or overhaul to ensure final conformance to all applicable technical manuals and customer requirements. • Validates the serviceability and conformity of all assemblies including documentation completeness to ensure compliance with all applicable standards; determines the reparability of those products not meeting the applicable requirements. • Reads and interprets technical manuals, work instructions, blueprints, drawings, and other relevant documentation to identify product discrepancies and deficiencies. • Participates in continuous improvement of cell processes. • Cross-trains in other complementary skills and seeks endorsements for those skills as needed to support production requirements. • Moves between production assignments that utilize multiple skills as needed to support production requirements. | ||||||
Position Requirements | • 3+ years’ experience in aerospace sheet metal theory and practices. T56 QEC sheet metal experience is a plus. • 3+ years of previous engine maintenance experience (dismantle and assembly) in a mechanical or aerospace environment is preferred. • Working knowledge of common sheet metal hand tools, equipment, and methods. • Ability to read, understand, and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and other technical information. • Knowledgeable of, and proficient in, the use of precision measuring equipment. • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office. • Must be able to work day shift or second shift as required. • Must be authorized to work in the US |
